Coniston Tweed

£65.00

Strong and grounded, the Coniston Tweed is inspired by the valley’s industrial past,  from the deep green-grey of Coniston slate to the rust tones of historic copper mines and the dark timbers of old wooden mine shafts. It’s a landscape shaped by labour and layered with history, now reimagined in cloth.

The design, originally developed for throws by the Lancs & Lakes Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers, has been simplified for use as a versatile, textured tweed. Also available in a classic herringbone weave.

Rich in tone and story, this tweed is perfect for garments, upholstery, or crafted objects that honour the depth of place.

Designed by Curlew Fabric Design and woven in the North West of England, this cloth is made from 100% British wool - renewable, biodegradable, and recyclable. A true reflection of place, craft, and care.

Sold by the metre. Approximately 150cm wide.
