Coniston Tweed - BACK SOON

*The wool is being processed at the moment, but it's a slow process! The tweed should be back in stock by autumn 2024.

Coniston tweed takes inspiration from its industrial history including Coniston slate, the historic copper mines and the old wooden mine shafts.
The tweed pattern was simplified from the original design used in the throws by the Lancs & Lakes Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers, that represented the fells and valleys of the area.

The tweed is sold by the metre and is 150cm wide.

The wool comes from three farms in Coniston - John Atkinson's Cheviot wool at Nibthwaite Grange Farm, Nick and Sadie Edmondson's Texel cross wool at Crakeside Farm and Phil Mulcaster's North Country Mule wool at Close Foot farm.
