Haweswater Tweed

£65.00

Shaped by water, restored by care,  the Haweswater Tweed takes inspiration from the re-wiggling of rivers in the valley, a conservation effort that has helped reduce flooding and bring new life to the land. As the rivers return to their natural paths, biodiversity flourishes. And this tweed celebrates that quiet transformation.

The design was originally created as a throw by the Lancs & Lakes Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers, reflecting the rivers. It has been carefully simplified for cloth, and is also available in a timeless herringbone weave.

Woven from Cheviot wool sourced from Naddle Farm, part of the Wild Haweswater project, this tweed carries the texture and resilience of place, shaped by nature and stewardship.

Designed by Curlew Fabric Design and woven in the North West of England, this cloth is made from 100% British wool - renewable, biodegradable, and recyclable. A true reflection of place, craft, and care.

Sold by the metre. Approximately 150cm wide.
