The Ullswater Herdwick Gilet

Woven from the wool of hardy Herdwick sheep and rare breed Whitefaced Woodlands from sheep that graze the fells and lowlands of Ullswater, this simple but distinctive gilet will subtly add substance to any outfit.

Wool has kept shepherds warm for centuries, now crafted into a contemporary silhouette that honours its origins.

The tweed is brushed to add a softness and warmth and we have added a gorgeous pin that not only works as a closure but even when it’s not being used, you never know when it might come in handy. It reminds me of the safety pin we had to carry as a Brownie and a Girl Guide!

The wool is from Ullswater, all the preparing takes place in the north west of England with our trusted network of wool processors and the final making is done in London with a brilliant company that works with small companies like ours so avoid over-production waste.

For rough sizing:

SMALL – 8 to 10

MEDIUM – 12 to 14

LARGE – 16 to 18
