Throws - seconds

Some of our throws have been classed as 'seconds' for various reasons. But at the moment we just have Grasmere throws. These have some smit mark on them that wasn't completely removed in the washing process. The farm we buy the wool from for the Grasmere throws uses a red or blue paint of their fell sheep so that can be easily identified as they roam the hills. Often a line down one leg, a dot between the shoulder blades, a cross on their flank. Each farm has its own smit mark and there is a directory to identify them so a stray sheep can be sent back to the farm they come from. It also helps avoid sheep rustling, which does happen.
