Wasdale Throw

£150.00

Woven with echoes of centuries past, the Wasdale Throw is inspired by the timber-framed roof of St Olaf’s Church at Wasdale Head, England’s smallest parish church. Nestled at the head of the valley, this tiny place of worship has offered shelter since at least 1550, with likely roots even earlier.

The geometric pattern, developed by Curlew Fabric Design, reflects the church’s quiet strength and sense of stillness. Woven from 100% British wool, the fleece comes from flocks raised in the shadow of Wasdale’s fells by David and Jordan Porter near Wastwater, and Claire Postlethwaite in the same valley.

Soft, resilient and full of character, this throw is perfect for wrapping up, laying over a bed, or adding warmth and story to your home.
