Wasdale Tweed

£65.00

Rooted in one of the Lake District’s most remote and storied valleys, the Wasdale Tweed draws its inspiration from the timber roof beams of St. Olaf’s Church at Wasdale Head — England’s smallest parish church. A place of shelter for centuries, St. Olaf’s has stood quietly since at least 1550, its presence echoing through generations of fell walkers and farmers alike.

This tweed design was thoughtfully adapted from an original throw, with its lines and forms simplified to reflect the  the church’s structure. Also available in a timeless herringbone weave.

Woven with care and built to last, it’s ideal for clothing, furnishings, and meaningful making.

Designed by Curlew Fabric Design and woven in the North West of England, this cloth is made from 100% British wool — renewable, biodegradable, and recyclable. A true reflection of place, craft, and care.

Sold by the metre. 150cm wide.
