Harry Place Farm

Harry Place Farm sits in the heart of Langdale and is run by Jonny Benson, with the help of his family. Jonny took over the National Trust tenancy from his father, continuing the family's connection to farming in this beautiful Lake District valley.

The farm is home to a flock of traditional Herdwick sheep alongside Cheviot-cross Herdwicks, combining two breeds well suited to the upland landscape.

We have used fleece from Jonny's Cheviot-cross Herdwick sheep to create our Langdale tweed, reflecting the character of the valley and the farming traditions that have shaped it for generations.
