Delivery and Returns

Thank you for shopping with Lake District Tweed. We are a small business based in the Lake District and take care in preparing and packing every order.

UK delivery

We aim to dispatch orders within three working days.

Delivery charges are calculated at checkout and depend on the size, weight and destination of your order.

If an item is made to order or requires additional preparation time, this will be stated on the product page.

International delivery

We welcome international orders and ship to selected destinations.

International delivery costs are calculated at checkout. Delivery times vary depending on the destination and customs procedures.

Orders delivered outside the UK may be subject to local import duties, taxes and customs handling fees. Unless explicitly stated otherwise at checkout, these charges are not included in our prices and are the responsibility of the recipient.

Returns

We hope you will love your Lake District Tweed purchase. However, if you change your mind, you can notify us within 14 days of receiving your order that you wish to cancel.

You then have a further 14 days to return the goods.

Please contact hello@lakedistricttweed.com with your order number before sending anything back.

You may inspect your purchase as you would in a shop. Please take reasonable care of returned goods. A deduction may apply if handling beyond what is necessary to inspect them has reduced their value.

For change-of-mind returns, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of return postage, provided this has been disclosed before purchase.

We will refund the purchase price and applicable standard outbound delivery charge in accordance with UK consumer law. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or receiving appropriate evidence that they have been sent back, whichever is earlier.

Fabric purchased by the metre

Please check your measurements carefully before ordering fabric.

If you are unsure about the colour or texture, we recommend ordering a fabric sample before purchasing a larger quantity.

Standard fabric cut from a roll is not necessarily exempt from statutory cancellation rights. Any exceptions for genuinely bespoke or personalised orders will be explained before purchase.

Faulty or incorrect items

If your order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, please contact us with your order number and, where possible, photographs of the issue.

We will arrange an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights, including covering reasonable return costs where required.
