Welcome to Lake District Tweed. By placing an order through our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

About us

Lake District Tweed creates wool textiles inspired by the landscapes of the Lake District. Our tweeds are made from British wool sourced from Lake District farms and processed in the UK.

Lake District Tweed is operated by Dodgson Wood Ltd, based at Nibthwaite Grange Farm, Ulverston, Cumbria, LA12 8DB, United Kingdom.

Products

We make every effort to describe and photograph our products accurately. However, colours may vary slightly between screens and natural wool textiles may show small variations in texture and appearance.

Product dimensions and specifications are provided on individual product pages.

Prices and payment

All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP), inclusive of VAT where applicable, unless otherwise stated.

Delivery charges are calculated and displayed before checkout.

Payment must be completed before an order is dispatched.

Orders

When you place an order, you will receive an email acknowledging your purchase.

We reserve the right to cancel an order if a product is unavailable, a pricing error has occurred or we are unable to fulfil the order. If payment has already been taken, we will issue a refund.

Delivery

We deliver within the UK and to selected international destinations.

Delivery charges and available shipping options are displayed at checkout. Estimated delivery times are provided for guidance.

International orders may be subject to import duties, taxes and customs handling charges, depending on the destination. Unless explicitly stated otherwise at checkout, these charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Cancellations and returns

For most online purchases, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your goods, without giving a reason. You then have a further 14 days to return them.

Certain genuinely bespoke or personalised products may be exempt from this cancellation right. Fabric cut to length should not automatically be treated as exempt simply because it has been cut from a roll.

Please contact us before returning an item so we can provide instructions.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

Faulty or damaged goods

If an item arrives faulty, damaged or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and details of the problem.

We will resolve the issue in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.

Intellectual property

All original designs, photographs, text and other creative material on this website belong to Lake District Tweed or their respective rights holders and may not be reproduced commercially without permission.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, or affects your statutory consumer rights.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections applicable in your place of residence.
