Duddon Tweed

£65.00

Woven with echoes of the past, the Duddon Tweed is inspired by the Viking longhouses once uncovered through archaeological digs in the Duddon Valley. This quiet corner of the Lake District holds deep Norse roots — a landscape once settled by seafarers, now remembered in stone and soil.

The design, first created for a throw, has been simplified for cloth, capturing the structure and rhythm of ancient craftsmanship. Also available in a timeless herringbone weave.

Earthy, grounded, and full of quiet strength, this tweed is ideal for garments, soft furnishings, or heritage-inspired projects with a story to tell.

Designed by Curlew Fabric Design and woven in the North West of England, this cloth is made from 100% British wool — renewable, biodegradable, and recyclable. A true reflection of place, craft, and care.

Sold by the metre. 150cm wide.
