The Ennerdale design takes its inspiration from the woodland surrounding the lakeshore.
The tweed pattern was simplified from the original design by the Lancs and Lakes Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers, that represented the reflections of the trees in the lake. The original design is used in the throws. The tweed is also available as a herringbone.
The tweed is sold by the metre and is 150cm wide.
The Herdwick and Cheviot cross wool used is from Hollins Farm, Ennerdale.
