Ennerdale Tweed
Still, green, and deeply rooted — the Ennerdale Tweed takes its inspiration from the quiet woodlands that fringe the lakeshore, and the reflections of trees dancing across the surface of the water. It’s a design that captures both the strength and softness of this hidden corner of the Lake District.
Originally created for throws by the Lancs & Lakes Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers, the pattern has been simplified for tweed, preserving the essence of light and landscape. Also available in a classic herringbone weave.
Woven from a blend of Herdwick and Cheviot cross wool, all sourced in Ennerdale, this cloth is durable, natural, and rich with local character.
Designed by Curlew Fabric Design and woven in the North West of England, this cloth is made from 100% British wool - renewable, biodegradable, and recyclable. A true reflection of place, craft, and care.
Sold by the metre. Approximately 150cm wide.
