The story behind the cloth
Grasmere,in every thread.
Wordsworth, our Grasmere throw celebrates the literary heritage and natural beauty of this much-loved Lake District village.
The design takes inspiration from the geometric patterns of the cottage windows, while the soft green tones reflect the climbing foliage that surrounds the building, connecting the house to the landscape beyond.
Created by the Lancs & Lakes Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers, the pattern captures the quiet beauty and simple elegance of this historic home.
The wool comes from Hogg Hodgson's flock at Rydal Hall Farm, close to Grasmere. North Country Mule sheep produce a strong, characterful wool that gives the throw its distinctive texture, natural warmth and durability.
Woven from 100% British wool, our Grasmere throw is naturally warm, breathable and durable. Perfect for curling up with a good book, draping over a bed or bringing a little of the Lake District landscape into your home. Designed and woven in the North West of England.
From fleece to finished throw, every stage of processing takes place within 100 miles of the farm, supporting British farmers and our regional textile industry.
