The Lake District Tweed Bakerboy Hat The Lake District Tweed Bakerboy Hat

The Lake District Tweed Bakerboy Hat

£60.00

Made by our sister brand The Wool Library using surplus Lake District tweed yarn  that would otherwise go to waste, this women’s bakerboy brings timeless style to our commitment to use every last yard of beautiful Lakeland wool. Our herringbone weave uses genuine fell-country fleece—the hardy stuff from sheep that have weathered proper Lake District storms.

Each hat uses yarn rescued from larger weaving projects, woven into fresh herringbone patterns that vary subtly from batch to batch. Think of it as giving perfectly good wool a second chance while getting yourself a hat that works from weekend dog walks to evening dinners.

The classic bakerboy shape has been refined to a more modern, easy-to-wear silhouette—narrower than traditional styles but with all the character you want. The curved peak and band around the crown lets you style to suit your face perfectly, while the signature button on top adds that finishing touch of craftsmanship.

This hat is built for the seasons when you actually need it—autumn winds and winter chills don't stand a chance against proper Lake District wool.

All the spinning and weaving happens in the northwest using our trusted mill network, then skilled hatmakers finish each one by hand. No mass production, no waste, just excellent use of beautiful materials.

Sizing: One size fits most (elastic section at the back of the cap) Curved peak and signature button detail.

Perfect for casual weekends or dressing up when the temperature drops—this is what happens when good wool gets the respect it deserves.

Part of The Wool Library's commitment to using every yard of our beautiful yarns.
